Regator steals Afrigator’s brand

Well they say imiation is the most sincere form of flattery, but when someone quite blantantly steals not only your design, but your idea it can be a little more insulting. Regator, a new blog aggregator, has recieved quite some media attention today with articles in Read Write Web, Techcrunch and on Mashable. None of the articles posted seem to mention its uncanny resemblance to our Afrigator.com. Perhaps because ....

Birthday Bash of the Decade

On Saturday we braved the masses of face-painted, flag waving, brandy and coke drinking South Africans living in London and congregated at Hyde Park for Nelson’s 90th Birthday Bash. The party was not only packed with 46 664 screaming Mandela fans, but a star-studded cast of performers and supporters. Live music was provided by the Soweto Gospel Choir, Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, Razorlight, Queen & Paul Rodgers, Annie ....

Mann Friday

Last week I went to see the awesome Zimbo band Mann Friday perform at the famous Halfmoon in Putney. (Halfmoon has hosted live music full time since 1963, with occassional performances dating back as far as the 1920s. From The Rolling Stones to Kasabian, Kate Bush to Natasha Bedingfield the venue is steeped in music heritage.) I can’t tell you much about Mann Friday because I couldn’t find much ....

Evita Bezuidenhout’s Zoopy Page

One of the more fun projects I have completed in the past couple months was a Zoopy profile page for South Africa’s much loved comedian Evita Bezuidenhout. Zoopy is South Africa’s first and foremost video and photo sharing social network. I’ve always been a fan of their neat and usable design so when Jason, at Zoopy’s headquarters, asked me to take on one of their projects I jumped at ....

A website launch with a difference

One of the reasons, amongst the many, I have been so quiet the last few weeks has been one of the projects I have been working on for Hillsong London. Hillsong is the church I belong to in London. It’s services take place at the world reknown Dominion Theatre in Tottenham Court Road. The Dominion Theatre is also home to the show “We Will Rock You”. Going to a ....
