Americans and Europeans have always had the freedom to travel around the world; traveling to Haiti is no more difficult than traveling to sub-Saharan Africa, that's why I'm skeptical of  the claim made by the National Academy of Science that AIDS was brought to the U.S. by a Haitian immigrant. President Bush and the rest of his administration have always touted the benefits of democracy but always end being hypocritical especially where Africa is concerned. Don't Blame the G8 for Poverty in Africa


Realistically, how can African leaders expect the G8 to address poverty while many of them ignore it in their own countries? Why should the G8 care about AIDS/HIV, malaria and other diseases affecting African people if their own leaders don’t care? Until African leaders take responsibility for poverty in their own countries, it won’t matter how much money organizations like the G8 pledge to fight it. ....
