Twhirl is a social software client that works on most platforms (Windows & Mac). While Twhirl doesn't completely integrate with Gatorpeeps yet we have figured out a way for you to use this application and update Gatorpeeps from the comfort of your desktop PC. Here's how!
2. Open Twhirl and in the top right corner of the window click the little spanner (configuration).
3. This opens the preferences dialog window. In that window, click the Open Accounts button at the bottom left of the window.
4. In the accounts window, at the bottom there is a dropdown field. Select "Laconica" and in the username field enter as follows:
yourusername@afrigator.com (i.e. your Afrigator/Gatorpeeps username).
5. Click the + to add the account.
6. In the list of accounts, select the newly created Afrigator account and click on the Connect button. This will open a new window asking for your password.
7. Enter your Afrigator password and bob's your uncle! Hopefully...
PLEASE NOTE: This is in development phase and can stop working sporadically as we break stuff! There is a couple of weird things happening like not all updates to Gatorpeeps display in Twhirl always, so just take note of that. Also not everything works yet! You cannot add friends or favorite peeps, etc... The basics are functional like messages, replies, public timeline and friends updates works okay.
